The Play List Window

DrasticPreviewPlayList


The DrasticPreview play list offers a method for the user to arrange a number of clips (media segments) for sequenced playback. Play list may be saved, and loaded. Clips may be moved up or down in the play list, or deleted (removed) from the play list. See the following chart for information about the available controls.

1. Clip Name - this column displays the "clip name" of the selected media.
2. Save List - Opens a "Save As" dialog box which allows the user to save the play list in a location of their choice.
3. Load List - opens a standard browser which allows the user to browse through their storage for a saved play list file.
4. Start Frame - this column displays the time code location of the first frame of the selected media.
5. Add Clip - opens a standard browser which allows the user to browse through their storage for a suitable media file.
6. End Frame - this column displays the time code location of the last frame of the selected media.
7. Del Clip - removes the selected media from the play list. Media may be selected by clicking on it with the mouse.
8. Clip Path - this column displays the location of the media, by Drive/ Folder/ sub folder etc.
9. Move Up - move the selected media one row upward, toward the beginning of the play list.
10. Move Down - move the selected media one row downward, toward the end of the play list.
11. The first clip in the play list - note that it is not selected (highlighted), and that the Delete, Move Up and Move Down controls will not affect it.
12. The second (and last) clip in the play list - note that it is selected (highlighted), and that the Delete and Move Up controls apply to this clip. Move Down will not affect the last clip in the play list.
