The DrasticPreview Context menu may be opened by clicking once on the DrasticPreview interface with the right mouse button.

Open File - opens a standard browser, allowing the user to search for and select a media file to load into DrasticPreview.
|

Open URL - opens a standard internet browser, allowing the user to enter a URL (uniform resource locator) in order to search for and select a media file to load into DrasticPreview. Not active in all versions.
|

3.
|
View submenu - allows the user open various windows to display information about the file, and offering various controls for playback and media sequencing. A check mark before an item indicates that the window is open. Re-selecting a checked item will close that window. See below for more information about the View submenu.

Display Settings - opens the Display Options window, which allows the user to select or de-select various file types for playback. A selected file type will have a check mark in its selector box. See below for more information about the Display Settings window.

Display Size submenu - allows the user to select between various sizes for the DrasticPreview monitor. See below for more information about the Display Size submenu.

Transport Commands submenu - opens the Transport Commands submenu, which offers transport controls (play, pause, fast forward etc.) for the selected media. See below for more information about the Transport Commands submenu.

Mode submenu - opens the Mode submenu, which allows the user to select between playback modes. See below for more information about the Mode submenu.

Load Skin submenu - allows the user to browse for and select a skin other than the default, or to return to the default skin. See below for more information about the Load Skin submenu.

Play Media On Load - if this option is selected, any media selected by the user will automatically play upon loading into DrasticPreview. A check mark before this option indicates that this option has been selected. Re-selecting this option will disable it.

About DrasticPreview - opens the "About Box" for DrasticPreview. The version number for DrasticPreview can be viewed here.

11.
|
Exit - stops any playback actions in progress and closes DrasticPreview. The user may also select this option by pressing Ctrl+Q on the keyboard or pressing the Escape key. Note: the Escape key also functions in Full Screen Mode to return the screen size to its former mode.

The View submenu

The View submenu allows the user to open and close specific dialog boxes within DrasticPreview. More details about each of these dialog boxes can be viewed in the appropriate section of this document.

Audio/Video Settings - opens the Audio/Video Settings dialog box, which allows the user to adjust the output levels of each of the audio and video files associated with the selected media. This window may also be opened by pressing the "E" on the keyboard. |

Meta Data - opens the Meta Data window, which displays information about the selected media, including video size, quality, duration and type, audio quality/ type, author, copyright, project, reel etc. This window may also be opened by pressing the "M" on the keyboard. |

Play List - opens a new play list, or the most recently assembled play list if DrasticPreview has not been closed since it was made. This window may also be opened by pressing the "P" on the keyboard. |

Real Time Data - opens the Real Time Data window, which displays TC, LTC, VITC and other data. This window may also be opened by pressing the "R" on the keyboard. |

Frame Info - opens the Extended Data window, which displays information specific to certain installs. This window may also be opened by pressing the "D" on the keyboard. |

Goto - opens the GOTO window, which displays the current location within the selected media by time code, and allows the user to quickly view specific frames or access a desired start point. This window may also be opened by pressing the "G" on the keyboard. |
