DrasticPreview is a professional media player. It designed for production file formats like DPX, 16 bit TIFF, SGI, YUV, and VPB;
intermeadiate formats like uncompressed MOV, AVI, WMV, MXF, and GEN and scientific formats like .Y.U.B, Luma/Rmy/Bmy, Hdr/Raw/Yuv, .4224 and DVS. DrasticPreview
also supports audio, real time and static meta data and a variety of playback modes.
DrasticPreview offers default GUI controls to allow the user to open any networked media files for viewing, as well as keyboard and number pad commands for transport control. The user may also "skin" the player with an image of their own devise.
As well as viewing the files, the user can also see a great deal of information about the media, including video size, quality, duration and type, audio quality/ type, author, copyright, project, reel, etc.
The on-screen viewer window may be re sized to effectively accommodate varying viewing requirements, including a full-screen mode.
DrasticPreview offers audio and video output level setup controls. Note that audio monitoring will require appropriate audio hardware.
DrasticPreview displays meta data associated with the media, if any.
DrasticPreview allows the user to play a number of media files in sequence using a play list, and to save and load play lists.
DrasticPreview displays time code and allows the user to cue up to specific frames by time code location.
DrasticPreview displays text/hex and key code/ink code information.
